Nigel Walter has been involved in Residential Conveyancing since 1985
He started his career with a High Street practice based in Reading, Berkshire. Following in-house training and greater experience, he moved to that firm’s Wokingham Office in 1987 where he continued to represent his own clients and where he gained experience in the running of a branch office. He moved from this firm in 1989 to join another practice where he continued in conveyancing, gaining valuable experience in representing a Company Relocation agency. He also took a leading role in the creation and implementation of a computerised conveyancing system.
In 1996 Nigel readily accepted the invitation to re-join his first employer, Barrett & Co Solicitors, to establish a conveyancing department within that firm's South Oxfordshire Office, which he did successfully. He moved back to their Reading Office in September 2012, following a reorganisation of the firm, where he continued to serve the South Oxfordshire area.
From 2012 Nigel spent part of his time qualifying to become a Licensed Conveyancer.
In 2017 Nigel set up, with two former colleagues, BWH Legal and opened that firm’s Office in Blewbury, primarily serving the Didcot
area.
During his career, he has been responsible for the running of several Residential Conveyancing departments and taken a leading role in the creation and implementation of computerised conveyancing systems. Nigel provides a realistic, professional and caring service to his clients during an often stressful time in their lives.
If you are looking to start your climb on the property ladder or are already on the ladder but considering a move, please get in touch Nigel on 01235 430958 or nigel.walter@bwhlegal.co.uk and he will be happy to assist you.

The time taken to complete any legal matter can vary a great deal and is often dependent
on other parties. If there are no significant delays, a conveyancing transaction usually takes between 8 and
12 weeks. A straight forward probate administration takes about 12 months. You should be told at the outset
how long your matter is likely to take and be kept updated regularly on any changes.
